a county in central England, with the town of ↑Warwick as its administrative centre. It was reduced in size when part of it, including the city of ↑Coventry, became part of the ↑West Midlands, one of the metropolitan counties created in 1974. ↑Stratford-upon-Avon is in Warwickshire.
